Delivery of Decorative French Walnut Petrin

Last night I delivered this decorative French walnut petrin to one of my favourite customers.
Not the best lit apartment, so I included a photo from showroom. The piece certainly lifted her living room. Especially when we placed the two rare Masons plates I sold to her recently.

18th century French walnut jardinier/Petrin/dough bin. The serpentine moulded sliding top, above the canted dough-bin.

The base having a long floral carved secret drawer, with matching carved lower stretcher and shaped side and rear stretchers.

Joined by turned legs, resting on scroll carved cabriole legs.

Fantastic overall faded colours and wonderful patination.
