Description
Still to be cleaned and re wax finished.
This style of table, rarely found in such small proportions and not being over restored, most important.
For use as a stylish sofa table, closed or opened to display family photos or drinks and hors d’oeuvres.
Hall table, bay window table, breakfast or small dining table.
Still to me one of the cleverest English furniture creations.
Beside one of, A rare set of six 1920s revival dining chairs, from my apartment.
These chairs are around 100 years old. The 20s was a huge revival period.
They have Queen Anne rear shaped splats and shaped top rails 1705.
George I and George II cavletto style moulds 1714 – 1740
all blending so well.

Letting some of my secret ageing tricks go before I retire….
BTW, the other rare 18th century English Whirldon Creamware Tortoishell Plate, also C.1760 on stand, another from my private collection, purchased from the delightful Sydney dealer Janet Niven, I also smashed this plate long ago, but had mended as a reminder of my clumsiness! Such a beautiful plate.
