An unusual first half 19th Century French elm dough bin.

The very well patinated wide single plank cleated loose top above four canted sides and a level floor showing fine traces of old flour.

Resting on four beautiful rectangular splayed outer chamfered legs.

All held together by wooden pegs and hand made nails.

19th Century French fruitwood dough bin.

The well patinated four plank cleated hinged top, lifting to reveal a well used cantered side interior, above a plain frieze, resting on square out swept internally chamfered legs.

Mid to late 19th Century French oak and elm dough bin – AA1807

The four plank cleated top above a four plank cantered storage bin, resting on a shaped moulded frieze containing a centre drawer with the original brass pull, raised on four well turned out swept legs on a round bun foot, joined by a moulded ‘H’ stretcher. Good overall colour variation and will wax up well.
