Mid 18th Century French walnut refectory/centre table
The rectangular cleated top above an ogee shaped skirt, having a drawer to one end, resting on attractive baluster tuned legs joined by a moulded rectangular section ‘H’ stretcher.
Having good overall faded colour.
Note: the ‘H’ stretcher to be re-glued (invisible) and the overall waxed.
19th French provincial chestnut and oak side table of nice proportions.
The two plank chestnut top above a plain frieze, housing a long single drawer with original brass pulls, surrounded by swatch moulded cock beading on square tapered legs.
Late 18th Century French walnut and fruitwood side or serving table.
Having a thick three plank moulded pegged top and having intersting old markings. Above a deep apron housing two front drawers with turned handles, raised on attractive bold turned legs, joined to a shaped cross stretcher, resting on a sliced bun foot.
A rare 16th Century Flemmish oak credence type table of Gothic design.
The semi triangular planked top above an iron hinged central elliptical pierced and stylised foliate carved plank door, embraced by a canted arched and pierced plumette carved panel to both sides, the left having the initials W. M. and the right dated 1520. Raised on chamfered rectangular section splayed legs.
This exceptional piece has a wonderful overall feel, from the well worn top, to the water faded lower legs and a great overall colour and wax patinated finish. This table will sell to a serious oak lover.
19th Century French burr ash, ash & apple wood side table. The two plank solid burr ash top above the plain ash apron, housing two drawers with turned wooden knobs, resting on square tapered apple wood legs.
First half 18th Century French walnut refectory table
The well patinated three plank top above a deep frieze, the shaped, moulded facing side having decorative floral inlays of exotic timbers and ebony.
The rear and less used side having a plain frieze and two long drawers. Resting of baluster turned legs, joined by a rectangular ‘H’ stretcher.
Note, the entire base other than the inlaid frieze needing a good clean, highlighting the beautiful hidden grains, hidden by around 300 years of dark waxes.
The turned handles may be original, I can change to a more decorative brass knob or plate handle if desired.
