Sold this table from my storeroom, was planning on taking to my apartment, but business is business!
So like much of my stock, didn’t make my showroom.
The set of six American oak windsor armchairs also sold, they suit so well and are very comfortable. I used one as my desk chair.
The well patinated three plank cleated top, above a narrow skirt, resting on rectangular chamfered legs, with octagonal moulded feet, joined by a rectangular moulded ‘H’ stretcher.
Great overall colour and patination.

This table will be enjoyed as a stylish long sofa table in a bright spacious living area overlooking the most beautiful green farmland and rolling hills, can’t wait to see in situ.
Been some years since I’ve stocked one of these, this one in particular being the largest I have seen.
The large perfectly faded and patinated circular five plank folding top, on two rectangular upright supports, having an attractive lyre-shaped twisting central support, retaining the original steel guide attached below the top. Resting on bold long sledge-feet.
Below the circular top reveals the falling fabric continuing on to form the base.
Provenance: The table was selected by notable decorator Colin Bowman when both Madame Verna and he travelled to America for the furnishing of Verbu Lodge in early 1982.
Mixing antiques from different parts of the world can work very well. Not all styles mix well, but 18th and 19th century English and French furniture mixed very well.
