Serpentine shaped moulded marble top, above a matching shaped carved and moulded front skirt, opening to reveal an unexpected narrow drawer.
The stylish lines flowing into acanthus leaf carved knees and over expressed cabriole legs, terminating on a scrolled foot.
The beautifully veneered rear plain rectangular legs, on well shaped moulded feet.
Usually long 3.2m early 19th century French oak refectory/farmhouse table. Having a 6cm thick two plank moulded top.
Above a plain skirt, resting on square chamfered legs, joined by an ‘H’ stretcher.

I’m selling this fantastic, long French oak farmhouse table for a customer.
Requires minor restorations and a good wax.
The well faded three plank, cleated top, above a narrow skirt, resting on thick square tapered legs.

This piece was in our front living room the last twenty years, housing remotes, many wine glasses and coffee cups rested on the top.
After selling our family house, I simply can’t hold on to everything, so selling many pieces from my private collection.

Below the circular top reveals the falling fabric continuing on to form the base.
Provenance: The table was selected by notable decorator Colin Bowman when both Madame Verna and he travelled to America for the furnishing of Verbu Lodge in early 1982.

This twin bedroom design was inspired by a wilful little girl and her excitable younger sister.
A pleasant mid 19th century French fruitwood and oak side table.
The well patinated three plank moulded pear wood top, above an oak base.
The long single drawer retaining the original steel drop handle, resting on fine turned legs, joined by a matching turned ‘H’ stretcher, with a turned fruitwood central finial.
Fantastic overall deep colour and patination.
