19th Century English Elm Half Gallon Bentwood dry Measure
A single slice of Elm, steamed into an overlapping circle, held together by handmade nails.
Having the original poplar floor.
Stamped ENR 567.
Still in need of a clean and wax.

The moulded cantered hinged top, having a deep leaf carved Oak centre plaque, lifting to reveal a silk-lined interior (once divided).
A hinged mirror opening to reveal a burgundy leatherette storage area.
The base having Gothic style carvings overall, resting on rectangular block feet, having the original inverted steel rotating castors.

A 19th Century English root of oak snuff box. The beautifully knotted hollowed oak having two double hinged silver plated lids below.

A rare first half 19th Century oak snuff box. Engraving reads: “Made of one of the foundation Piles of Old London Bridge. Built AD1209. Taken up 1832”
