A rare early 19th Century Dutch/Flemish Bronze two tier Electrolier of large proportions
This was originally made to house candles.
Each shaped branch lifts out to place the lit candle into. (Note: even though now wired, they still are removable, slightly)
The top having soldiers playing flutes, above the first row of smaller branches, having individually carved maidens watching over the room.
The second row having large Sunflower heads carved to the top and dolphins to the centre, as above.
All slotted into the bold turned central support, terminating in a detailed finial.
Cleaned and completely rewired to Australian standards.
Now cleverly wired to house electric globes.
1890 – 1910
H: 1m Diameter: 95 cm excluding cup and chain.
All chandeliers can be extended and hung to desired height.
