A superb French first quarter 20th Century composition of a naked Maiden playing with a goat (soft clay base).
Affortunato Gory was an Italian sculptor born in Florence in 1895 and died in France in 1925. He worked mainly in bronze or bronze and ivory but also produced a few spelter pieces. He exhibited in Paris. Affortunato moulded in the Art Nouveau period and designed many wonderful figures, including works for Goldscheider.
In excellent original condition.
