Holidays nearly over, that’s enough relaxing time, now work…

Seeing I’m finally closing my shop, end of April, after 35 years, I thought I have plenty of time once closed…
Not that I’ll be sitting still! I’ll probably do the odd pop up shop around Australia, would be great to finally do one in Sydney after having this suggested since I attended antique and art fairs over the decades..
Had such a strong following in NSW, so I may reacquaint.
Besides I’ll be spending a lot more time in Sydney from now on, I’ll be working on writing (that’s my destiny) but retailing is part of my blood!

Description

In the meantime, come see me while my 50% off SALE is on.

I’m carrying some of the best furniture and art I’ve ever had the pleasure of handling.

Today three huge squashes, resting on a 19th century French beach pizza/ bread paddle, shovel, peel.

This one made for the larger log fire ovens, so the pizza could be placed in the hotter areas, then moved to cooler.

170cm x 44cm

First half 19th century French figured elm and oak farmhouse table.

The peel and table are quite suited, as when looking below the once sliding top, it’s obvious was once a dough-bin/petrin, doubling as a dining table.

The near 2m long dough bin, originally resting below would have made many thousands of loaves of bread and pizzas.

H.75cm W.2m D.80cm

Set of six 20th century, Australian ash Chippendale style dining chairs (now white)
