The plain rosewood top above a secret cushion drawer then two beautiful laburnum oyster veneered and inlaid panelled doors, enclosing two short and three long feather banded graduated drawers with brass drop handles, the sides are well veneered in book matched rosewood with laburnum oyster cut cross banding.
The base, having an ogee shaped front apron and period style turned legs joined by shaped stretchers. Good overall colour.
A rare mid 18th Century English yew wood chest of drawers.
The plank top with moulded edge above an oak brushing slide, and two small over three long moulded drawers with later but appropriate brasses, resting on shaped bracket feet.
Note: The back boards and framework are also of yew wood, this is very unusual.
