This is French with strong English Hepplewhite influences.
Over the years I’ve sold many, usually slight or profusely carved.
This example has elegant modern like lines, beautifully worn and patinated. All original brass-work.
The standout piece in a modern apartment living room, entrance or hallway. Stunning lines indeed.
As I said usually carved, also usually much larger proportions.

Resting on square bold tapered legs.

The well patinated marquetry inlaid top from walnut, figured walnut and fruitwoods, having a central star design. Above three graduated drawers with matching inlay veneers retaining the original oval brass handles, escutcheons and locks. Flanked by quarter moulded corners, with fielded panelled sides. Resting on the original squat bun feet.
Having a good rich overall colour and patina.

A very rare George I red lacquered month going long-case clock, with Chinese scenes on an oak base with original caddy top in good condition. The brass and silvered engraved and filled dial with early spandrels and signed by listed maker Anthony Harrison of London. This clock has been fully restored and is in great order. A unique 19th Century Australian cedar and blackwood tilt top breakfast or dining table.
The well patinated circular tilt top above a turned support and lower turned finial resting on carved cabriole legs with claw feet and the original brass and porcelain castors.

A rare and unusual late 18th Century English green and white tulip adorned potery jug. (A.F.) I sold this jug on consignment a few years ago and have just traded with another jug I have for sale. Buying, Selling and Trading is all part of the business. Makes life interesting…
