The rectangular seat having a ‘D’ shaped drop to each side, resting on four well turned, out swept legs, joined by a bold, square stretcher.
Note: these stools originated in the 17th Century.

Further note the bowl is now oval due to much shrinkage, original diameter 41.5 cm the cross grain side is now 38.5 cm (3 cm shrinkage).
