Johann Wilhelm Weinman ‘Phytanthoza Icongraphia’. The first botanical work to use colour printed mezzotint successfully. This process was so expensive and labour intensive, the process was not repeated for several decades. One of the finest examples of printed botanical works available.

A rare mid 19th Century Chinese export Chinoiserie iron-red and blue transfer-printed dragon pattern, part dinner service, having several English copies with Pseudo Chinese marks.
The dinner set has an interesting twist! Would have had several pieces broken, the wealthy owner must have taken the originals to say, the Staffordshire factory and had the set re-built.
