Late 18th Century, French Figured and Burr Elm Farmhouse/Refectory Table

Late 18th Century, French Figured and Burr Elm Farmhouse/Refectory Table

THIS ITEM HAS BEEN SOLD

This very special table has come into stock recently.

Late 18th Century, French figured and Burr Elm farmhouse/refectory table.

Beautifully figured, generously thick figured Elm two plank cleated top.

Above a plain narrow frieze, resting on bold square tapered legs, joined by a recessed ‘H’ stretcher.

The well patinated top shows signs of many wonderful memories created around this table.

Notice the flat grain, well worn finish. When metho rubbed over, the grain lifts. Still to be re-sealed or left as is… I’ll let the buyer decide.

Yet another table I would love to take home, to create my own memories around…
