Selling this rare set of eight 19th century well patinated French Louis XV style figured Walnut, dining chairs for a customer.
This style of chair is reasonably easy to locate in France as they continued to make this ever popular style.
But it’s rare to locate a large set of original period chairs, so that’s why I’m happy to sell.

Assembling this magnificent Italian Murano clear glass chandelier today.
So much work goes into buying, packing, shipping, restoring and re wiring, then reassembling in showroom.
I thought I’d show a few photos of the process.
This is the largest of this particular, delightful, classic style I’ve had in over 30 years.

We restored this pair of bentwoods for a customer recently.
Quite a transformation.
Thought I’d show you how easy it is to re buff existing wax finishes.
I find flannelette the best for a good easy shine. Cut all seams from material.
Use your palm on a flat surface, obviously fingers into corners or threads, such as this.

Mary and John hanging out with myself and Jack this morning.
Was great to be together again.
Mary visits most Wednesday’s after her acupuncture next door.
John’s been in hospital for many operations over the past few months, we chat and message daily, but nothing like a catch up.
Mary often brings me flowers from her garden.
Today was some pretty Port Wine Magnolia.
Thank you both, you made my week.
One of six 20th century American oak windsor arm chairs.
The bowed top rail, with fret carved shaped central splat, running through the central bow, flowing into the arms.
The saddle seat, resting on turned out-swept legs, joined by an “H” stretcher.
Having a wonderful overall well worn patina.
As always, the most comfortable chairs to dine on and locating sets isn’t easy.
You could have four around your kitchen dining table and place the other three in many places around your home or apartment.
