A rare mid 19th Century Chinese export Chinoiserie iron-red and blue dragon pattern part dinner service – CCS1648
A rare mid 19th Century Chinese export Chinoiserie iron-red and blue transfer-printed dragon pattern, part dinner service, having several English copies with Pseudo Chinese marks.
The dinner set has an interesting twist! Would have had several pieces broken, the wealthy owner must have taken the originals to say, the Staffordshire factory and had the set re-built.

An early 20th Century Australian Regal Mashman vase (A.F.)
Mashman Brothers Pottery of Sydney, founded 1885 by potters trained at England’s Doulton pottery, long recognised as one of Australia’s most distinguished manufacturers, started producing Regal artware in 1932. The glazes mostly in rich but subdued colours were especially smooth and glassy. Although the colours are generally streaked and mottled giving the appearance of casual application, infact the effects were very skillfully controlled, often with subtle repeating patterns discernable under close examination.
William and Henry Mashman who were trained at Doultons in England entered into partnership with James Sandison, to form Mashman and Sandison Pottery at Willoughby (now Chatswood) Sydney in 1885.
Mashman’s 1930’s ware is known for its clever adaption of Art Deco design elements.
In 1957 Mashma ‘s merged with England’s Royal Doulton.

A very rare George I red lacquered month going long-case clock, with Chinese scenes on an oak base with original caddy top in good condition. The brass and silvered engraved and filled dial with early spandrels and signed by listed maker Anthony Harrison of London. This clock has been fully restored and is in great order. A late Georgian oak and faded mahogany cross banded 30 hour longcase clock of nice proportions. The scroll cross banded cornice with beech wood stringing above turned columns, framing the cross banded hinged door, with the original imperfect glass panel. The trunk with a shaped cross banded door and panel below, above a matching base resting on shaped, bracket feet. The door enclosing the original painted dial (serviced).
